Hi! My name is Cindy Fan and I am a student attending Ting Ting Hsu's art class. I have gone to her Hillsborough class since the age of 5 or 6, and steadily progressed through the different levels of art. Right now I am 14 years old, so I've been attending class for several years. When I was younger, I started off with oil pastels and sketch pencils. Now, I oil paint, with the occasional pencil drawing. I go to Ting Ting's class every week, on Sundays. My artwork has been in many of her library exhibitions. I really enjoy art and going to art class every week has helped me develop into a skilled artist.

The 2011 National Fight the Bite poster contest State Winners!!

This year students from 23 states and Puerto Rico have won awards in the “Fight the Bite” poster contest, co-sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the DEET Education Program. Begun in 2007, the contest invites fifth- and sixth-graders to create educational posters encouraging children and adults to protect themselves against mosquito and tick bites and the diseases they can cause.

Summer Camp 2011

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!!

Students bring their own snack, lunch and beverage. Friday is a Pizza day.

Each session starts on Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Space is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cost
$350 new student/ Full day session

$325 current student/ Full day session

$200 Student / M-F 9:00-noon or

1:00 -4:00pm / Session

$80 Student / Day

Extended Care Hours Available

Extended Care is offered 8:000-9:00 a.m. and 4:00-6:00 p.m. It is available at an additional charge and must be prearranged.

Supervised board games, and low-keyed activities will keep children entertained.

Extended day is offered from 8:00 to 9 a.m. and from 4 p.m., ending promptly at 6:00 p.m.

8:00 - 9:00 am / $30 per week

4:00 – 6:00 pm / $60 per week

PRE-COLLEGE PORTFOLIO PREP

FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

The group includes observational drawing, design, composition, color theory, and issues surrounding the making of art. Although this group is primarily focused on observational drawing and painting, mixed media compositions, photography, and other media may be explored. This group is designed to help students develop a strong foundation of skills, develop professional work habits and create a portfolio suitable for college admission.
